Important Vinyl Mind News
June 24, 2009
In the interest of a certain DIY ethic, the Vinyl Mind is distancing itself from MySpace.
All operations will soon be handled by vinylmind.net, which we are in absolute control of.
A main feature of said site is the Vinyl Mind forum, which will be open for the interaction of all interested parties.
* cough * we have games, who wants to come get beat at tetris?
(Who said that?)

What's up, world?
We of the Vinyl Mind have been hard at work. To make a long story short, we're getting this show on the road.
We've got a pretty impressive catalogue already, we're working on getting a compilation and a new studio album out there (literally any day now), and we're getting our live act together. Here's the call to arms: we want to know who's listening. We want to see commentary. We want to see mail. The music is out there, are you?
There's more than what myspace currently has to offer. Check out http://www.unsungherorevolution.com/vinylmind/ and http://www.last.fm/music/Vinyl+Mind.
Also, let's say a hypothetical fan likes the music, wants to support the band, and would love a shiny solid CD copy of any album we've got available (I strongly suggest Evacuate and Late Nights [under band name, Promiscuous Susie]- they're great). That fan can- believe it or not- channel crazy little robots to assemble their desired album and have it shipped to them. It's true! There are links through which the aforementioned hypothetical fan may do so on the myspace front page; all they would have to do is click an album cover. Then all becomes clear.
By the way, I've decided I'm the fan guy (Yeah!). I've got a little email account set up on the side, jimfromvm@gmail.com that you can drop me a line at. It even conveniently rhymes; easy as it gets, right? You'll get a response. I'll probably even be on Google's chat when I have time, if anyone's interested in that.
Oh, and song suggestions from me to you: FM Messiah and Ionysticireism from Evacuate, Love Song and Tsunami from Evolve and R-Evolve, and I'm quite fond of a little number called Dyrti Day off of The Lost Transmissions. All of those will appear on the compilation, actually. Coincidence? I think not...
There's also a little track called Wheels Go Round that will be out there soon. I highly recommend a dosage of that. Where might one find such a thing? Who knows? I might, but I'm not saying anything... publically at least. [That's a hint]
In conclusion, if you guys are listening, talk back. We're listening, and we'll talk back too.
